Emma

(Richard, Me, Emma, Kiera, and Spencer)

This semester, we had the privilege of having Emma Rubinstien. She has been all over the world playing in chamber groups and orchestras. She was a visiting violin professor at BYU-Idaho this last semester. We learned so much and had way too much fun being her students in our chamber music class. Thanks to Spencer, I have a picture. We played Haydn string quartet Op. 77 No. 2. It was a great experience.

Picnics and Projects

(I don't know why I thought that smile would look descent. Only got one picture of each couple)

Gideon and Katie came up last weekend and we went out and had a picnic on Monday. We got this sweet picnic basket for our wedding and hadn't used it yet! It was so much fun. Thanks for coming up guys!

This was my latest project. I should have been grading papers but I just took a little break. These shells are from Florida when Miriam and I went about two years ago to visit Sarah. Most of them had natural holes in them but I had to drill holes in the rest. (There are still a ton left for you Miriam!) Drilling holes in shells is not easy! A few of them broke. The frame was $1 at DI.

And this was one of my sweet DI finds. You use them when you eat corn! So cute! They were 50 cents each! There were 4 when I went last week but I hesitated and when I went back, there were only 2. Dang it. But I love them!

Happy Fourth of July

Dont we look cute? Colins work had a few cars in the Rexburg Fourth of July parade. It went ALL the way down maint street! well fine its only like a mile and a half. We gave out candy and trinkets to promote Bell Black Insurance!!

Colin's friend agreed to be snoopy as part of our section in the parade. Snoopy is the mascot of one of the insurance companies Bell Black writes with. The kids loved it!

This picture was way overexposed and this was my attempt to fix it. The fact that we four are in the picture is important. We met Gideon, Katie and some of her family in Idaho Falls for the fireworks show. It was so much fun hanging out, eating otter pops and snacks waiting for the fireworks to start.

All together, our first Fourth of July together was a really fun and eventful!!

And this is one of three chairs at DI that are freaking sweet!!! Barrel chairs??!!?!? Like who thought of that in the first place!!! So awesome. If only we could afford them.
