False advertizing

Outside World Gym, there is a sign that says, "$9.99 per month. No commitments. No kidding!" I went in today to get memberships for Colin and I.

Naomi, "Can I sign up for a membership?"
Lady, "Sure. Do you know about the start up fee and rates?"
Naomi, "Umm no."
Lady, pulling out a paper, "The initial fee is $99.99 for the year contract and then $9.99 every month on top of that."
Naomi, "Uh ok. I'll talk to my husband and come back later."

Are you kidding me? You are kidding and there are definitely commitments. I'm not going back!

So frustrating. Even though we need specific clothes and it's a little more of a drive, we will be going to school to work out. For free.

Forgotten picture

I forgot to put this with the last post. I would usually wouldnt worry about it but I really like it!!

Disneyland

I have had more than one person ask me when I'm going to put pictures up from our trip to Disneyland.(Not to name names. Olivia. Quinn.) So here ya go.
On the Monorail. It went from Downtown Disney and The Disneyland Hotel where we stayed right into Disneyland!

Tarzans Treehouse. Pretty sweet walking tour.

The Castle was Christmasy!!!

This was a spicy buffalo wrap that I got in Downtown Disney. It ruined me. I was on the john for an hour.

Christmas on Main Street!!! And the Parade!

Colin didn't buy this hat but it was pretty awesome.

Lego Darth Vader. The coolest thing I have ever seen.

The castle at night!!!!

The Tea Cup ride. We did this one in honor of Justin. I almost got sick.

He's still a king to me!!!!

Dad Campbell, the Dumbo ride was broken when we went to ride it but I took this picture just for you.

And the Pirate ship. We didnt go on it but this picture was pretty cool!

Hope you guys like all of the pictures!!

Monster Computer

This is Colins old computer, which he is bequithing to me.
Because...
This is his new computer. IT'S HUGE!!!
The tower will be here Tuesday so until then, this 28" monster will be perch on the desk and blankly stare at us.

To compare, this is our 19" TV. Our computer monitor is bigger than our TV.
That is almost sick.

Sou Chef

He does bring home the bacon but sometimes he's nice enough to help me make it.

Around the House

Aftermath of being sick and having headaches.

Colin's corner of books.

My contribution to our tree. One of the four ornaments, all of which are things from around the house.

Funny conversation

Naomi went through a box full of Colins things and found some strange looking rags-like all purpose one time use hospital rags.
Naomi: "What are these?"
Colin: "Rags."
Naomi: "They were in your box. What are they from?"
Colin: "I dont know."
Naomi: "What are they for?"
Colin: "Cleaning things."

Hmm. It's so simple in his mind but she really couldn't figure out what the rags were for.

While Naomi was writing this blog, Colin leaned over and said,
Colin: "What are you writing about?"
Naomi: "Those weird rags I found in your box."
Colin: "Oh the dusting rags my Mom gave me?"

Hilarious.

A new favorite blog of mine. Thanks to Olivia for showing it to me.

For Katie

I just read your post about cooking. I have a funny story for you.

Colin and I like to have egg and bacon breakfast muffins in the morning. They are kind of like egg McMuffins but I hate calling them that cuz we dont get them from MickeyD's. We MAKE them. And they are 106% better!!

I was sizzling up the bacon the other morning and everything was as usual. I had burned my finger a little bit from touching the pan which happens all the time. But then, out of nowhere, the bacon popped and a drip of hot grease went in my eye! It hurt so bad. I started screaming then crying as I went to the sink to put water on my face and eye. I was histarical not only because it hurt but it equally scared me to have something right out of a hot pan fly right into my eye!! Colin came running out from the bedroom asking what happened. After I sputtered out that grease got in my eye, he couldn't help but laugh a little bit as he comforted me. It took me a while to calm down but I can now laugh about it too.

I am glad we can relate!! And there isn't anyone better to comfort you than Gideon. He is so awesome. Hope you guys are taking care of eachother. I am sure you are.

Love you.

Sugar Cookies

For FHE, we made sugar cookies. Well, I made them and Colin helped my put frost and eat them. I think they turned out pretty good. Oh and we dont have a cookie sheet so I used a brownie pan. And I didnt have flour so I used the powdered sugar that I had. And we dont have a cooling rack so I used a towel. It all worked great!!!

The Desk Adventure

Colin wanted a desk and he refused to be pacient to find one on craigs list. With our plethera of Target gift cards we got from our wedding, we decided to go all out and get a brand new one from Target. For FHE, we went to Idaho Falls (which is about a 25 minute drive) to go shopping. We got a desk chair, a desk, and other things that aren't important to the story.

After getting home, Colin opened the box to put his desk together. The second piece he took out was broken. He suggested that we just glue it and put it together anyways. After spending that much on a desk, I was absolutly going to take it back and exchange it. Poor Colin had to do his homework on the floor that night.

Tuesday, I went all the way back to Idaho Falls and exchanged it. I couldn't lift it by myself so I needed some help. They were short handed people at Target so it took FOREVER to get the old on out of the car and then get the new one... geez.

I brought it home and Colin put it together. I helped him a little bit but I knew that it was his baby and I didn't want to take too much away from him.

Colin does his homework at it now and loves it. That brings our furniture number to a whapping 4!! The big chair in our living room, our bed, the desk and the desk chair!! Now we just need a couch for Colin to sleep on when he snores... ;)

Our Christmas Tree

We were having a little bit of trouble putting the stand together. Colin took out his hammer and tapped "gently" on the pieces so they would slide together. He hit one a little too hard and a little piece broke off. Luckily, it didn't compromise the structural integrity of the tree. It is still fully functional.

No ornaments yet. Since I took this picture, I did put Colin's hat on the top of the tree...

Getting Settled In

WEDDING AFTERMATH

Oranges, Cereal and NyQuil. We are set.

Martinelli's, my picnic tablecloth, a few boxes for a table and spaghetti. Turned into looking like this. A little ridiculous, I know.

This is what happened when Colin tried to open the cereal box without adult supervision. There were so many rips, the box wouldn't close. I had to tape it back together so it would shut.
By the way, our living room doesn't look like that anymore. I spent most of the day Tuesday cleaning it up and putting everything away. To prove it to Dad, I may have to put up another picture...

Together Forever

We finally made it and we're married. The day couldn't have gone any better than it did. The weather, the people, the shoes, everything. We love being together all the time now and we haven't gotten sick of each other. Colin is just sick (with a cough). We are happy together and the one thing that would make Colin happier would be if he had a desk to do his homework at. That's my assignment tomorrow. I love my husband. We are as happy as ever.
