It finally snowed. It hasn't really felt like winter because of the ridiculous lack of snow even when we were in Rexburg. But now in Salt Lake, there is snow. And the best part- I can sit inside and look at it. While drinking hot chocolate. Yes.
We are living back together in the ol' Salt Lake now! No more 250 mile commute for a visit. We are done with Rexburg. Maybe we'll move back in 25 years for Colin to teach but as students, we are finished.
I still look very small for being 24 weeks pregnant. People usually have to look twice before saying "You're so tiny!" Yes. I am small. But the baby's measurements are awesome and there is no question he is doing well. He lets me know he's in there ALL the time. I'm worried when he gets big enough to find my ribs because he's already kicking and moving like a ninja in there. He has started exploring how far he can stretch his little cocoon by sticking out his bum so we can see and feel it. It is such a blessing to have the little man growing inside me. What a miracle. Besides headaches, back pain, and continuing limited agility, I am loving every minute.
There are major steps that happen in your life. You're born, loose your first tooth, have your first crush, dreams of your first kiss are crushed by a jerk, dreams of a perfect wedding are realized by a prince, and before you know it, you're starting your own little family! But where do you put your little family? In a house. A real house. Well people, we have made it. We found the perfect house and LOVE it, put in an offer, accepted their counter offer, had an inspection done, appraisal done and we are approaching closing. After having moved 4 times since we've been married, I look forward to moving one more time and staying. In March, we will be making the move to our first house. We both can't wait.
The ward we JUST moved into is awesome and they are so sad we are leaving soon but they still gave us callings for two months! IN PRIMARY! I'll be playing the piano and Colin is team teaching the 6 year olds. We sat down yesterday with his class and he immediately said "this is going to be awesome." It made me smile that he loved being around those kids so much especially since he's going to be a daddy himself soon. He really is the best.
Ok I know that this was "so 5 years ago" but Colin and I started watching Lost. From the beginning. And we LIKE it!! Colin sat out the first season and a half but then when it started getting REALLY crazy, he jumped in. We have watched two full seasons in two weeks. We are pathetic but that show is good!!
We had a little party for Tammy's birthday and almost everyone was able to come! It was fun to get together and celebrate with Tammy. I made some awesome fish cupcakes and the kids loved them as much as the adults did!!
My lovely fish on our lovely messy table.
